Shaquora R. Bey is a self-taught, multidimensional artist from Brooklyn, New York, whose creative journey began in 1994. Known as "Diary of a Doll Maker," Shaquora has mastered the art of crafting intricate soft sculptures, doll art, and wearable adornments that seamlessly blend cultural storytelling with innovation. 

Shaqura’s stunning soft sculptures gained recognition when they were featured in Hulu's FX series Kindred (2022) and Netflix's Survival of the Thickest (Season2, 2024). Her works are celebrated for their depth and cultural resonance, with sculptures currently exhibited at the National Black Doll Museum in Attleboro, Massachusetts. She is the creator of patent-pending Keepsake Journals, unique treasures that combine functionality and artistry to preserve memories.

Shaquora’s talents extend beyond doll making-she is a skilled crochet artist, costume jewelry, and loctician. Through her work, Shaquora emphasizes the healing power of art, using craft as therapy to inspire self-awareness and celebrate the dualities of femininity and masculinity. Her creations, from "Masquerade of Masks" to Loc Jewels, reflect her dedication to transforming everyday materials like glass, metals, cowry shells, and semi-precious stones into meaningful pieces of art.
