Dorothy Ham was born in Virginia and now resigns in Brooklyn, New York where she worked as a New York Public School teacher. she earned her degree, in education and in psychology. 

Dorothy found herself becoming a writer when she was a young girl and spent a lot of time writing her life matters in poetry in her journal book . So, it’s not surprising that her first published book, I Asked, and He Answered, was a series of her life matters in poetry.

Darling, she said, Dorothy’s mission is to spread her message of the importance of each person life, then she said, the best way to spread it is to wear the message, MyLyfeMatters and so does yours. Why was this message important?

MyLyfeMatters and so does yours, was and still is, a message to encourage the younger generation. To help them through mentoring them about the importance of their lives as well as others so she’s began her mentoring program to spread the word.” Mylyfematters and so does yours.. Her hope was too stop so much gang violence, and black on black crime. 

Over a decade of years, MyLyfeMatters mentoring program became a way to reach the massive. Through her fashion statements, her clothing line she have been able to touch people throughout generations. A message to inspire young and old, the down trotted, the hopeless, and the faithless . To let them know their lyfe matters. No matter what they’re going through There’s a purpose for my life and their life. It is to say, Don’t give up. Keep going, you’ll make it through.
